Phase 2: Collaborating With Other Organizations

Target audience:
secondary students (Sticky Rice Love),
university students (CUHK Records)

Date: April - May 2022 (collaborate 3-4 posts each)

Venue: Instagram

 

Potential collaborations:

  1. Sticky Rice Love
    We want to collaborate with them because their mission is to provide adequate sex education in HK, and gender equality is also one of their interested topic. Besides, their target audience is secondary school students, which matches with the demographic of our target audience. We would like to collaboratively generate posts and filter stories with them. At the same time, we will be generating content concerning gender issues and our own filters for their followers. IG videos and live videos are also under consideration.

     

  2. CUHK Records
    We want to collaborate with them because they aim to introduce stories from real-life experiences among people related to CUHK. Their target audience is university students, who are our main target. We will first interview people, who are related to CUHK, who have experienced gender inequality before. And then turn their stories into words and share them with our followers. We will be generating a similar style of posts collectively.

Phase 3: Online Peer-Support System

Target audience: general public (15-25 year-old)

Date: starting from May 2022

Venue: Webpage

 

Discussion forum:

  • Users are allowed to write messages and questions anonymously on the forum.

  • People who come across the post can comment freely on the posts.

  • Any myth concerning gender issues is encouraged to be discussed in an open discussion.

  • Questions will be replied within 24 hours with fact-checked information by our staff members.

  • Relevant articles, videos, or posts will be forwarded to users who are interested.

  • Users must follow our commenting guidelines strictly, and avoid any aggression, criticisms, and foul languages on the forum.

 

Online counseling service:

  • People who have trouble concerning the topic of gender equality can also send us text messages in case they don’t want other users to read or discuss their problems.

  • Messages will be replied within 24 hours by our staff members privately.

Phase 4:  Launching Merchandise

Target audience: general public (15-25 year-old)

Date: starting from July 2022

Venue: accept orders from our webpage (online shop)

 

Types of side products:

  • Daily-used products like t-shirts, mugs, water bottles, etc.

  • Board games with the theme of gender equality, involving different types of playing, which includes functional play, constructive play, creative play and imaginative play. 

 

The design of merchandise is still under discussion and will be adjusted by collecting feedback from our audience from the above three phrases.
