We heighten awareness and reduce stigma around gender inequality in Hong Kong by providing comprehensive gender education through quality information from credible sources in a digestible manner. Besides, we help our community engage in conversation around gender inequality. We found that the public become more willing to comment their opinions toward gender issues on our page, even share our posts to their friends and family members.

Evaluation Methods

We use the insight tool in Instagram to monitor the number of users that saw our Instagram post. The increasing number of followers and reaches represent our social impacts to the public. Gender awareness and gender sensitivity are also considered to be improved by increasing comments under our posts and the number of shares.

Results

At present, we have 600+ Instagram followers and have reached 37K+ accounts. Our follower demographic is representative of our target audience, with our top age range as 18-24 year olds. 54% of our followers are women, and 46% are men. Our posts have reached up to 58K+ people in total. The reach of our posts is currently increasing, and we see our posts engaging more users in an upward trajectory.
