FILTERS

In addition to our posts, we have also used the most popular story filter function to attract more of our target audience. The principle of Instagram filters is Augmented Reality Technology, which allows users to interact with reality through the camera of their phones. There are many benefits of us using filters as part of our campaign. First, this generation of young people are spending more time on smartphones and social media. The pandemic has also made them stay at home longer, so they will be more likely to use filters to kill time. Through the use and sharing among young users, more people can understand the concept and content of our project in the process of use. In the long run, it can also increase the exposure of our page. Moreover, we can also use a third-party platform to observe the reactions of the filter’s users, and even to deepen the interaction with the users by continuously improving the filters.

Our team used Spark AR as a platform for filter development, testing, publishing, and data-monitoring. We have developed three filters. One of them is still in beta, while two of them are already in use and have been very responsive. Besides, a filter is in the development phase and is expected to be operational by April.
